Stand One
An angled Qi2 magnetic charging stand in metal and glass, heavy enough that lifting the phone off does not drag the charger with it. It is the piece of Nomad kit that most changes how a desk works.
Nomad makes Horween leather cases, metal-and-glass MagSafe chargers and Find My tracking cards. We compare the current line-up and say which pieces justify the premium.
Nomad occupies an odd and useful niche in phone accessories. Most of the market is either cheap plastic or luxury branding with nothing behind it. Nomad builds in materials that are expensive for functional reasons – vegetable-tanned Horween leather, machined metal, glass, Kevlar-jacketed cable; and charges accordingly.
That makes the buying decision less about features and more about whether you want objects that age. Horween leather develops a patina and stops looking new within weeks, which is either the appeal or the problem. The chargers are heavy slabs of metal and glass designed to stay on a desk. Nothing here is disposable, and nothing here is cheap.

Three products carry the range: one charger, one leather case and one tracker.
An angled Qi2 magnetic charging stand in metal and glass, heavy enough that lifting the phone off does not drag the charger with it. It is the piece of Nomad kit that most changes how a desk works.
A Horween leather folio with a magnetic clasp, card and cash storage and MagSafe compatibility: a wallet and a case in one piece. It replaces a wallet for most people, at the cost of some bulk.
A Find My tracker shaped like a credit card, thin enough to sit in a wallet slot and rechargeable rather than disposable. It is the only tracker shape that fits where a wallet actually needs one.
Every option side by side, with the one thing that actually distinguishes it.

Three reasons people pay several times the going rate for a charger or a case.
Nomad's leather goods use vegetable-tanned Horween leather, which darkens and develops a patina with handling. A Horween case looks different after six months and different again after two years. If you want an accessory that stays pristine, this is a flaw; if you want one that becomes yours, it is the entire reason to buy.
The current chargers support Qi2, the magnetic wireless standard that lifted charging speeds well above the old Qi ceiling for compatible iPhones. Nomad has also used genuine Apple MagSafe components in some models, which is why the magnetic alignment feels more positive than on generic pads.
The Stand One and Base One families are built from metal and glass rather than moulded plastic, which does something very practical: the charger stays on the desk when you lift the phone off one-handed. Lighter pads slide. It is an unglamorous benefit that you appreciate every single day.
Three decisions cover the whole range.
If it is just a phone, a Stand One is the right shape: a single angled Qi2 charger with a small dish at the base for AirPods. If an Apple Watch also needs charging on the same surface, the Stand One Max and the Base One Max add that, and Nomad's 3-in-1 designs handle phone, watch and earbuds together. Buying the single-device version and then needing the watch charger separately is the most common and most expensive mistake here.
Nomad's Horween leather cases and folios are thin, beautiful and will take a patina. They are not drop cases. If your phone lives on building sites, in gym bags or with small children, a protective case from the sport or rugged side of the range is the honest choice and you should not buy leather and then be annoyed about it. Nomad also sells Magnetic Leather Back styles for people who want leather without a folio's bulk.
Premium chargers frequently ship without a power adapter: Nomad's recent Stand One, for example, has been supplied with a USB-C cable but no plug. If you do not already own a suitable high-wattage USB-C adapter, budget for one, because a charger fed by an old low-output plug will not reach the speeds you paid for. Nomad sells its own AC Adapter and car charger options alongside the stands.
Qi2 is the relevant standard for the current chargers and it is what unlocks faster magnetic charging on compatible iPhones. Older phones will still charge, but at the slower legacy speeds: so if you are upgrading a charger for speed, confirm your handset supports Qi2 first rather than assuming the charger is the bottleneck.
The Find My products are an Apple ecosystem feature. A Tracking Card works through the Find My network and is located with an iPhone, so it is not the right buy for an Android household. Nomad does sell accessories for Pixel Buds, Pixel Watch and Garmin, but the core of the range assumes you are on Apple.
Horween leather is designed to change. It darkens where your fingers rest, creases where it folds and develops a surface that no two cases share. Keep it away from prolonged water and strong sunlight, wipe it with a dry cloth, and resist the urge to treat it with conditioners early on – the patina you want comes from use, not from product.
The metal and glass chargers are easier. A microfibre cloth handles fingerprints on the glass; the weighted base is the part doing the work and needs nothing. The one genuine wear point across the range is cable strain relief, which is why the Kevlar-jacketed cables exist and why they are worth the premium over a generic lead.
Ranked by how well each one delivers on what it promises – not by price.

The weight is the feature: this is the first magnetic stand that stays exactly where you put it.
The Stand One is the piece of Nomad kit that changes a desk. It is a magnetic Qi2 charger set at a viewing angle, built from metal and glass, with a small dish at the base for a set of earbuds. Qi2 is what matters technically: it lifts magnetic charging speeds well above the old Qi ceiling on compatible iPhones, so the phone actually charges at a useful rate rather than trickling overnight. The angle means you can read notifications and use Standby-style displays without picking the phone up.
The real differentiator is mass. Cheaper magnetic stands are light enough that pulling the phone off one-handed drags the whole charger across the desk; this one does not move. The trade-offs are price and what is in the box, because recent versions have shipped with a USB-C cable but no mains adapter, plug it into an old low-output charger and you will not see the speeds you paid for. It also only charges a phone and earbuds, so if an Apple Watch is part of your nightly routine, buy the Max instead.

Carry this for six months and it stops looking like a product and starts looking like yours.
The Modern Leather Folio is the clearest expression of what Nomad is for. It wraps the phone in Horween leather, closes with a magnetic clasp and holds cards and cash inside, which for a lot of people removes the need to carry a wallet at all. It remains MagSafe compatible, so magnetic charging still works without taking the phone out. And because Horween is vegetable-tanned, the leather darkens and creases with handling: after a few months no two folios look the same. No other case in the range changes as visibly with use.
Be realistic about the compromises. A folio adds bulk to a phone and a flap you have to open before every use, which some people never get used to. It is not a protection case: the leather and the clasp are about feel and appearance, not about surviving a drop onto paving. Carrying cards against a phone also means the whole lot is lost together if you lose one. If you want leather without the flap, Nomad's Magnetic Leather Back is the lighter alternative; if you want survivability, look at the sport and rugged styles instead.

The only tracker shape that actually fits where you need it: in the wallet, not on a keyring.
Tracking a wallet has always been awkward because trackers are the wrong shape. The Tracking Card Pro solves that by being a card — thin enough to live in a wallet slot alongside your bank cards, and located through Apple's Find My network from your iPhone. It is the successor to Nomad's original Tracking Card, with a design intended to blend in among other cards and longer battery life than the first version. Crucially it recharges wirelessly rather than taking a coin cell, so it works on a standard wireless charger and on Nomad's own stands.
It is an Apple-only product, because it relies on the Find My network, if your household is on Android it is the wrong purchase outright. It is also thicker than a bank card, which matters in a tightly packed wallet, and no Find My tracker gives a live GPS trail: you see where it was last detected by a passing Apple device, which is excellent in a city and much less useful in open countryside. Within those limits it does the job better than anything shaped like a disc.

One cable and one object instead of three, which is the entire argument for buying a 3-in-1 charger.
The Base One Max is Nomad's flat multi-device charger, and the version that adds AirPods alongside the phone and Apple Watch makes it a genuine 3-in-1. The appeal is cable reduction: one plug and one object on the bedside table instead of three leads and three pucks. Like the rest of the family it is built from metal and glass, which makes it heavy enough to stay still and good-looking enough to leave out on show rather than hide behind a lamp. For a bedside table with three devices on it, that is a real improvement.
Flat is the design decision to think about. A pad lays the phone down, which is excellent for a bedside table but means you cannot glance at the screen the way you can with the angled Stand One: if you want a visible clock face overnight, the stand is the better shape. Reviews of the 3-in-1 have also noted that it looks superb while being a little limited on features for the money, and as with the stands you should check whether a mains adapter is included before you order. If your main problem is three chargers and one socket, it solves it elegantly.

A MagSafe wallet that can be found again, which solves the one real flaw in the format.
Magnetic card wallets are convenient and have one obvious weakness: they detach, and when they do you lose your cards without noticing. Nomad's Leather Mag Wallet answers that directly by integrating a tracking card into the wallet itself, so the thing most likely to go missing is also the thing you can locate. It is made from vegetable-tanned Horween leather, so it ages in the same way as the cases, and it snaps to the back of a MagSafe phone or case. It is a neat answer to a problem the format created for itself.
The format's other limitations remain. Capacity is a few cards, not a full wallet, and anything beyond that needs a traditional one. Magnetic attachment is strong but not permanent — it can be knocked loose coming out of a tight pocket, which is precisely why the tracking matters. And it is the most expensive way to carry three cards you will find, justified only if you value the leather and the peace of mind. For people who have already lost one magnetic wallet, that calculation tends to look quite different.

One cable instead of two in a bag, wrapped in the toughest jacket in the range.
This is the least glamorous and possibly most useful thing Nomad makes. It charges an Apple Watch and simultaneously provides USB-C power for a phone, iPad or laptop, which means a weekend away needs one cable rather than two. The jacket is Kevlar-reinforced, which addresses the one place every cable fails – the strain point just behind the connector – and there is an integrated tie so it does not unravel into a knot in a bag. For a weekend bag, that is a useful simplification. One lead, two jobs, and a jacket built to survive being coiled badly.
The caveats are the usual ones for a dual-purpose cable. You are tied to a single length and a single configuration, so it is less flexible than carrying two dedicated leads, and if the watch puck fails you lose the USB-C function too. It costs several times what a generic cable does, which only makes sense if you accept the argument that you will keep it for years rather than replacing a cheap one every few months. For frequent travellers with an Apple Watch, that argument holds up well; for a cable that lives permanently plugged into a bedside socket, it does not.

It depends entirely on whether you like patina. Horween is vegetable-tanned leather that darkens and marks with handling, so a case will look visibly different within a couple of months and will keep changing. People who love it describe it as the only case that improves; people who dislike it feel the case looks worn out.
What it is not is a protection upgrade. Leather cases are thin and prioritise feel and appearance over drop resistance.
Stand One is an angled single-device magnetic charger with a small dish at the base for earbuds. Stand One Max adds Apple Watch charging to the same footprint, which is the reason to pay more. If you charge a watch overnight on the same surface, the Max is the one to buy.
No. Nomad's Tracking Cards use Apple's Find My network and are located through an iPhone, so they are an Apple-ecosystem product. If your household is on Android, a different tracking standard is the right choice.
Often not. Nomad's recent chargers have shipped with a USB-C cable but no mains adapter, which is increasingly normal at this end of the market. Check the box contents before ordering and factor in a suitable high-output USB-C power adapter if you do not already own one.
The leather cases and folios are not designed as drop protection, they are thin and prioritise materials and feel. For genuine impact resistance, choose from Nomad's sport or rugged styles, which use harder polymers and raised edges, and accept that they will not develop a patina.
Buy the charger that matches every device you actually charge in one place, then decide whether you want leather that ages or a case that protects. Add a Kevlar cable once and stop replacing cheap ones. Nothing here is cheap, but very little of it needs replacing.
