This page explains, in plain terms, how Reviews Lounge makes money and what that does and does not affect.

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

What affiliate links look like here

Affiliate links on this site are the buttons labelled “Check price”, “Check deal” and similar. They carry rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines can identify them as paid links, and they open in a new tab. Every in-depth review on this site also carries a visible note beneath its buttons.

What commission does not affect

Rankings. Position in a list is determined by our assessment of the product, never by commission rate. Products we earn more from regularly rank below products we earn less from.
Scores. Nobody outside our editorial process sees a score before publication.
Inclusion. We cover a brand's full range, including products we cannot earn anything on.
Criticism. Every guide states the weaknesses of products we are paid to link to. Brands have no approval rights over anything published here.

Prices and availability

We avoid quoting live prices because they change faster than we can update them. Where a recommended retail price is given, it is the manufacturer's published figure at the time of writing. Always confirm the current price and specification on the retailer's own site before buying.

Product images

Product photography on this site is supplied by the manufacturers and remains their property. It is used to identify the products under discussion.
