This page explains what is stored on your device when you visit Reviews Lounge. The short version: we do not set tracking cookies of our own.
Cookies we set
None. Reviews Lounge is a static site. It has no login, no account, no shopping basket, no comment system and no advertising network, so it has no need to identify you between visits and does not try to.
What can still end up on your device
- Affiliate cookies, after you click out. When you click a “Check price” button you leave this site. The affiliate network and the retailer will normally set a cookie so a later purchase can be credited to us. That happens on their domains, under their policies, and only once you choose to click.
- Nothing from embedded content, by design. Product and category photography is loaded directly from the manufacturers' and stock providers' content delivery networks, and our web fonts come from Google Fonts. Loading a file reveals your IP address and browser to whoever serves it, as with any image on any website, but these are plain file requests and we do not attach identifiers to them.
- Ordinary browser storage. Your browser caches pages, stylesheets and images so the site loads faster next time. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because sites set non-essential cookies before you have agreed to them. We do not set any, so there is nothing to ask you to consent to. If that ever changes, a banner will appear and this page will be updated first.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting to block third-party cookies entirely. Doing so will not break this site. It may, however, mean a retailer cannot credit a purchase to us — which costs us, not you.
